|Welcome To The Cotswolds
The 'Cotswolds Area' officially spreads across 790 square miles, settled within the northern part of the southwest region of England and encompassing the six English counties of Wiltshire, Worcestershire, North East Somerset, Warwickshire, Gloucestershire, Bath and Oxfordshire.
The Cotswolds has officially been named as the UK's largest “Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty” and has become a favourite location for both the British and tourists from far and wide. There are many reasons why this picturesque area has stood out to 'want to be visitors'. With the hillsides (otherwise known as ‘wolds’) as a perfect backdrop for a relaxing holiday in the stunning countryside, with river valleys, water meadows and the ageless villages constructed from the local golden-coloured limestone. The architecture has certain uniqueness about it that one would struggle to not fall in love with! Quite simply an outstanding destination to experience a bit more of what the UK has to offer, it is so easy to imagine yourself back in the 1700's as many of the market towns have preserved the look and feel of a bygone era.
The area is full of quaint towns and absolutely wonderful countryside just waiting to be explored, with some of the more popular towns used as a base when touring the Cotswolds. Areas such as Gloucester, Stroud, Warwick, Malvern, Oxford, Stratford Upon Avon, Swindon, Worcester and Cheltenham.
Cheltenham is situated on the edge of the Cotswold's and is less than a hundred miles West of London. Cheltenham first shot to fame when its natural spring waters were discovered some 300 years ago and it quickly gained status as a spa town. Cheltenham’s historic past is very evident and is in fact one of its endearing features, with many beautiful 19th century Regency buildings gracing the town. It also boasts beautiful award winning gardens, an excellent range of chic shops and restaurants plus many local attractions. Year after year tourists flock in their droves, will you be joining them?
