The County of Kent is in South East England and one of the Home Counties. It also borders East Sussex, Surrey and not forgeting Greater London, and it also has a defined boundary with Essex in the middle of the Thames Estuary. It quite simply oozes heritage and history, and due to its beautiful orchards and hop gardens is openly known all over the world as "The Garden of England”. Visiting Kent could not be more simple, nestled in England's south east corner and only 35 minutes from central London via the high speed rail link. It's a perfect destination for a weekend break or longer stay and offers a varied choice of accommodation to cater for all budgets and tastes, from converted barns, quaint cottages, b&b's, to classy city hotels and guest houses by the sea. The South Eastern coastline offers more blue flag 'award winning' beaches than you can shake a stick at, not forgetting top water sports activities for the young at heart!
